How do I create a view through the web interface

To create a view through the web interface you need list manager permissions. If you do not have those permissions you may still be able to add a personal view if the list or site is set up to allow adding personal views.

From the toolbar of a list, open the View menu and select the Create View option.

The first page of the Create View process should appear. Select the type of view format you want. The available types of views depend on the list type from which you are creating the view.

Next, fill in the view name, determine if this is a personal of public view, select the columns that should be included in the view as well as their order and optionally add sorting, filtering, grouping, and aggregation to the view. You can also set parameters such as the view visual style, if items or documents from all subfolders should be included, limit the number of items on a page or in total, and designate the view as a mobile view.

When clicking Ok the new view should appear and will also be added to the View menu in the toolbar.
